88-91 EF Civic ECU Shield Standoffs

Keep your swapped EF’s wiring clean, protected, and covered with the factory Honda ECU shield.

Engine swapping your EF often means replacing the factory engine harness with an aftermarket harness that has significantly more length. That extra wiring can be difficult to route under the carpet, while relocating the ECU can leave the harness exposed and prevent the factory ECU shield from being reinstalled.

The solution is to relocate the ECU using an extension harness.

But that creates another problem: there’s still too much wiring to simply reinstall the factory ECU shield. The extension harness also introduces additional connectors and joints that need to fit underneath the shield.

These standoffs solve that problem.

By raising the factory ECU shield, the standoffs provide enough clearance for the extension-harness connectors, joints, and excess wiring to fit underneath while allowing you to retain the OEM shield.

The result is a clean, protected installation without having to cut, modify, or permanently remove the factory ECU shield.

Installation

Install the standoffs onto the factory ECU shield mounting studs, route your extension harness and excess wiring underneath, then reinstall the factory ECU shield using M6 hardware.

An ECU extension harness is required for ECU relocation and is not included. These standoffs were designed around this type of installation; I used a ECU extension harness which HA Motorsports made to my specific requirement.
